Know More AboutMary Johnson
Mary knows what it means to work hard. Raised in a small-town, working-class family, she watched her father pour long hours into his bicycle shop and her mother push through late-night study sessions to earn a degree.
They taught her that perseverance can change lives, and that’s exactly what she has carried into her work.
Whether leading legislative campaigns for struggling families, fighting for government accountability, or pushing for policy changes that improve access to vital services, Mary believes that every person deserves to be heard, valued, and supported.
“As a public interest attorney, I have dedicated my career to standing up for families and individuals who are traditionally underrepresented in civil and criminal law. From veterans losing their rightful benefits to immigrants seeking asylum, I place people at the center of everything I do. Now, I am taking my fight for justice to the Springfield City Council. As your Ward 6 City Councilor, I will work to improve public safety, invest in our city’s infrastructure, and enhance the quality of life in our community. Our neighborhoods deserve a hard-working, qualified councilor who will deliver results. Thank you for this chance to earn your vote.”
